transmission. The Amarok TDI420 will be powered by a new 2.0-liter
four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. The engine of the 2012 Volkswagen
Amarok TDI420 is capable of generating output at 132 kW and 420 Nm of
torque with which the new eight-speed auto transmission is combined.
It
is 12 kW more power and 20 Nm more torque than the previous engine in
the Current Amarok range with the same capacity. In addition, the new
2.0-Liter engine also offers an increased towing capacity. It is 375 kg
(in 3175 kg) more than the current configuration (in 2800 kg). The new
eight-speed automatic transmission comes as a complement to the existing
six-speed manual transmission.
